“The Biar Third-Generation Sampling Valve” Has Officially Been Launched in the Domestic Market!

In June 2017, Beijing time, the spring product launch event for Biar sampling valves was grandly held in Meeting Room No. 7 of the Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Sentosa. The company dispatched representatives from the Technical Department, Sales Department, and Commercial Department to attend the event, which was witnessed by nearly one hundred attendees from more than a dozen domestic enterprises, including many chairpersons and general managers who graced the occasion in person. During the launch, Biar proudly unveiled the third-generation sampling valve—the result of a year-long intensive development effort by the Biar team.

Since 1985, Bill Company of Switzerland has been engaged in the design and manufacture of specialized sampling valve systems. These systems are characterized by modular retrofit designs tailored to the specific operating conditions of process flows, developed in direct collaboration with internationally renowned suppliers and manufacturers of chemical and petrochemical refining processes, thereby meeting stringent requirements for true closed-loop, safe sampling. To date, the company has designed and manufactured more than 200 sampling bottle systems, over 90% of which are custom-designed and built to customer specifications. Such sampling valve systems are employed in refineries, oil and gas production facilities, and the chemical industry—particularly in applications involving the sampling of special process fluids in specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical manufacturing—enabling customers to conduct closed-loop, safe operations that comply with EPA environmental protection regulations and yield representative, accurate samples.

Jesse Ye, Chief Engineer at Biar, and designer George attended the conference and demonstrated on-site the advantages of the third-generation sampling valve: the product is more intuitive, easier to clean in the later stages, safer to use, more convenient to operate, and boasts a significantly extended service life.

Years slipped away, yet the hard work ultimately paid off! Two years—what extraordinary tenacity, what unyielding determination and steadfast commitment it took!

Perhaps many people cannot understand why a single valve would warrant nearly two years of painstaking research by a team of dedicated, ingenious engineers. The answer can be summed up in two words: passion! Over these past two years, it has felt like blazing a trail—sometimes like stepping into an endless, sprawling maze, where we’ve had to forge ahead one path at a time, explore bit by bit, and move forward step by step. And today, finally, Biar has brought the third generation of its sampling valve to life. Facing the myriad products currently on the market, every challenge we’ve encountered has made it all worthwhile.

Visionary foresight and predictive capability are the secret weapons that have enabled Biar to conquer the market and grow stronger! The new V.2016 product no longer requires a connector compared with the V.2000—eliminating the connector does not compromise safety; on the contrary, the designers have comprehensively accounted for operating pressure, fluid characteristics, temperature, and other factors, significantly enhancing safety.

The meeting outlined the key principles of sampling: first, sampling must be conducted in a truly representative manner, with sampling points carefully selected to avoid cross-contamination from residual fluids at different times; second, sampling must be performed safely, even under stringent operating conditions involving high pressure and temperature, as well as fluids that are volatile, toxic, flammable, highly viscous, or contaminated; and third, all sampling activities must comply with EPA environmental protection requirements to minimize the release of hazardous and harmful pollutants and reduce the need for secondary treatment. During the meeting, companies actively took turns to speak, engaging in mutual discussion and learning.
