Book Sharing Session: “The Unknown Self”
2024-10-26
“Immerse yourself in the fragrance of books and discover a different you.”
—“Meeting the Unknown Self”
In both life and work, everyone experiences varying degrees of anxiety, worries, and stress. In response, EK has specially established the “EK Harmony and Kindness Book Club,” with the aim of guiding participants toward holistic growth—on the physical, mental, and spiritual levels—through the practice of reading. At the same time, we seek to deepen our understanding, empowering us to more effectively address the challenges we encounter in daily life.
Two months ago, we embarked on a shared reading journey of the first book, “The Unknown You.” Over the past few weeks, we’ve witnessed everyone’s thoughtful weekly posts in our group chat, as well as the meaningful changes they’ve made by reflecting on what they’ve learned and applying it to their daily lives. It’s clear that each of you has grown—in one way or another.
This Friday, we specially held a reading-sharing session to mark the completion of our group reading of “The Unknown You.”
During this sharing session, many participants drew on the book “The Power of Now” to discuss the challenges they face in their daily lives, such as raising children, maintaining a healthy marital relationship, and managing anxiety at work and in everyday life.
Through reading this book, they came to understand the root causes of their problems and began to gradually shift their mindset and perspective in how they view them. No book is ever read in vain; the words you’ve encountered will, before you know it, help you gain a deeper understanding of the world.
“The Power of Now” has opened the door to our reading journey. Our next shared read, “The Surrender Experiment,” is just around the corner. Moving forward, we’ll keep pushing ourselves, all in pursuit of becoming the best version of who we are.
