2016 EK Team Activity—Suzhou Yangshan Bay

2019-04-02

From April 23 to 24, 2016, we carried out our team-building training as scheduled at the beautiful Yangshan Bay Hot Spring Hotel in Suzhou. Since it was raining that day, we conducted the training indoors. Through these activities, we realized that in any organization or department, the spirit of teamwork is especially crucial. Often, the members with whom we have to collaborate are not ones we can choose freely, and the abilities of individual team members vary considerably. Therefore, as a leader, it’s essential to possess keen insight—being able to identify and harness the strengths of most team members, bringing them together in a cohesive and effective manner, and demonstrating skillful communication and coordination. To strengthen cooperation with others, we must first ensure that all members of the group are loyal, responsible, determined, and deeply proud of their team’s honor and mission. Leaders must trust every member of the team; everyone should be open and honest with one another, share their hearts sincerely, and build mutual understanding and complete transparency. We must work closely and collaboratively with each team member, pool our collective wisdom, listen carefully to others’ suggestions, and avoid acting stubbornly or independently. As the saying goes, “When everyone’s hearts are united, even Mount Tai can be moved.” In this way, the entire team will function smoothly and harmoniously, just like a well-oiled machine. Thus, learning to cooperate with others and fostering a strong team spirit in both our personal lives and professional work can help us achieve twice the results with half the effort, enabling our work to progress more effectively and successfully.
