Sales and Life

2019-04-15

What is... Sales ? How to excel in sales? Sales What exactly is its close relationship with life? Following the last procurement and life event, Recently, EK Again A session was conducted with “ Sales A training session themed “With Life.” Let’s continue exploring how our work is connected to our lives and to the meaning of life itself.

First, the teacher introduced a term: “MORDERN.” Sales System:

M——Measure the Selling Situation , Measure sales performance ;

O——Organize Your Client ’ s Needs, Organize Organize customer needs ;

D——Demonstrate Your Solutions , Show your solution. ;

E——Engage the Mind and Senses Transfer of thinking and Feeling;

R——Review the Selling Situation Review the sales performance;

N——Negotiate and Close the Sale Negotiate and close the sale.

Perhaps after getting familiar with this system, you might think that sales work is complicated and involves numerous steps—but actually, it’s not. We can also view the steps outlined above as a progression from initial introduction—through ongoing communication—toward a win-win solution—perfect execution—and finally, feedback.

Next, the teacher went on to explain why this “MORDERN”... “Is it useful? First of all, it’s incredibly simple. Successful sales are the result of a process that’s predictable from start to finish—it’s organic. It’s the product of years of experimentation and experience. And finally, this system focuses on the buyer, not the salesperson. It recognizes that selling is something we do together with our customers, rather than something we do solely for them. This isn’t just about making us feel good—though, if you’re doing things right, you’ll certainly feel better about your work.”

A good sales system also lies in simplifying everything: slow is fast, less is more, and low is high. This inevitably brings us back to our own lives—aren't many aspects of our daily existence just like this? As the saying goes, “A melon forced to ripen won’t taste sweet.” In many cases, we really need to go with the flow and let things unfold naturally. In sales, too, goods find their right buyers only when there’s a natural fit. Thus, I think we can summarize it all as “Do your best and leave the rest to fate.” This phrase doesn’t mean you should adopt a passive attitude toward life; rather, doing your best represents a proactive approach to living. You should always give your all and strive for the very best in everything you do. As for “leaving the rest to fate,” it means calmly accepting the outcomes after you’ve done your part—a mindset of adjustment, comfort, and self-reassurance.

At the end of the training, everyone eagerly shared their doubts and concerns with the instructor. The instructor joined in the discussion, engaging with each participant individually. Throughout the entire session, the training prompted everyone to reflect more deeply—perhaps what we’re doing isn’t just a job, but something that touches every aspect of our lives and our entire journey through life.
