Shanghai EK Donates Supplies, United in Solidarity to Fight the Epidemic
2020-03-02
Love is the power that changes the world.
Love is us watching out for one another and working together to overcome difficulties.
Let the storm swirl
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, medical workers have bravely stepped up to the front lines of prevention and control. Although this battle against the virus is fought without gunfire, the supply of essential materials is even more critical than any “weapon.” As the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic continues to spread, many frontline personnel engaged in epidemic prevention and control are facing shortages of emergency supplies. To secure donations of protective gear, Shanghai EK promptly coordinated with overseas suppliers to import a batch of Type 3 DuPont protective suits suitable for use in ICU wards. Despite numerous challenges—including customs clearance and transportation—the supplies finally entered China from France and were delivered to Shanghai, where 600 sets were immediately donated to Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. These protective suits will be transported by Changzheng Hospital to Wuhan’s Huoshenshan Hospital, providing vital material support to medical staff on the front lines of epidemic control, boosting their morale, and contributing to the overall effort to contain and combat the outbreak.

When one side is in trouble, support comes from all directions. During the critical phase of the epidemic, protective supplies were in short supply, making every bit of assistance invaluable. It is in small acts that true feelings are revealed, and it is in times of hardship that great compassion shines through! As long as we stand united and pool our strength, we will surely emerge victorious in this battle to contain and control the epidemic.
